Assistant Store Manager, Kindthread

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) plays a vital role in supporting the Store Manager in launching and operating Kindthread’s first-ever retail location. As a key leadership partner, the ASM helps bring the brand to life on the sales floor by delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales performance, and ensuring operational excellence. 

 

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, the ASM serves as a floor leader, culture carrier, and operational driver. This role is instrumental in building a high-performing team, maintaining visual and brand standards, and ensuring the store runs efficiently and effectively each day. The ASM leads with heart, accountability, and agility helping make hard days easier for the caregivers we serve. 

 

 

What You’ll Do: 

 

  • Partner with the Store Manager to recruit, train, and develop a passionate, customer-focused team
  • Lead by example on the sales floor, delivering exceptional service and hands-on sales coaching
  • Drive individual and team sales performance, consistently working to exceed KPIs and revenue goals
  • Serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Create an inclusive, performance-driven culture where every team member feels supported and accountable
  • Support outreach to healthcare facilities, medical offices, and professional groups to grow community and bulk sales
  • Assist in grassroots marketing efforts to build local brand awareness and increase foot traffic
  • Support daily operations including scheduling, inventory management, cash handling, and compliance
  • Uphold safety, loss prevention, and company policy standards
  • Maintain exceptional visual merchandising and brand presentation standards
  • Monitor inventory levels, oversee replenishment, and ensure strong in-stock positions
  • Leverage sales reports and performance data to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement
  • Partner with cross-functional HQ teams to execute store strategies and share feedback from the sales floor  

Who You Are: 

  • 2–4+ years of retail leadership experience (Assistant Manager, Key Holder, or similar role) in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Proven ability to drive results and support team performance
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build trust and foster collaboration
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and excitement about supporting a new store launch
  • Comfortable analyzing business metrics and using data to drive decisions
  • Passionate about customer connection and delivering meaningful service experiences
  • Flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require

Compensation: 

$28.00-$32.00 per hour. Kindthread encourages applications from candidates at all levels. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
