The Store Manager of Kindthread’s first-ever retail location plays a critical role in bringing the brand to life and setting the foundation for our future retail growth. This leader is responsible for driving exceptional customer experience, operational excellence, and strong store performance while embodying Kindthread’s purpose to make hard days easier for the caregivers we serve. As the face of Kindthread in this inaugural location, the Store Manager establishes the standard for how our brand shows up – every day, with every customer, and in every interaction. 

The Store Manager builds, leads, and inspires a high-performing store team that operates with heart, accountability, and agility. By fostering a culture rooted in inclusion and collaboration, the Store Manager ensures an elevated, consistent client experience. Key responsibilities include driving sales, maintaining brand and visual standards, managing inventory and operational processes, and developing talent through coaching and leadership. The Store Manager partners closely with cross-functional teams – including Operations, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, and Product – to deliver a seamless experience and help shape the blueprint for Kindthread’s retail future. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Recruit, train, and develop a passionate, customer-focused team 
  • Inspire and lead by example with strong floor presence and sales coaching 
  • Create a positive, performance-driven culture that energizes and motivates your team 
  • Manage daily operations, including scheduling, customer service, merchandising, and inventory 
  • Uphold all safety, loss prevention, and cash-handling procedures while maintaining compliance with company policies 
  • Drive sales to both individual customers and professional groups, such as healthcare facilities, medical offices, and other organizations where team members wear scrubs as part of their daily uniform 
  • Oversee financial reporting, KPIs, and budget performance, using data and insights to drive continuous improvement and sales growth 
  • Lead grassroots marketing efforts and community engagement to drive foot traffic and build local brand awareness 
  • Ensure exceptional visual presentation and merchandising standards 
  • Collaborate with HQ leadership to align store strategies with company goals 
  • Represent our brand with excellence and integrity in all customer and community interactions 
  • Lead through the Kindthread Core Values, inspire innovation, and maintain a high-performance culture 

Who You Are: 

  • 5+ years of experience as a Store Manager or similar in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment 
  • Proven ability to drive results, lead teams, and manage operations independently 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – comfortable launching a new location with a proactive approach to business growth 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Ability to cultivate an environment of genuine customer connection where all customers feel welcome, heard, and valued 
  • Experience with local marketing and community outreach is a plus 
  • Able to quickly understand and address business information (e.g., profit and loss statements, budgets and sales forecasts, retail strategy and approaches) 
  • Can work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Compensation 

Starting at $75,000 - $90,000 annually salary. Kindthread encourages applications from candidates at all levels. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
